February 11: UNESCO International Day of Women in STEM 🌍🔬
Today we celebrate women and girls shaping the future of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
👉 Why does it matter? Across the globe, industrialisation, digitalisation, energy transition, and decarbonization continue to create millions of STEM-related jobs in the next decade. These roles are critical for reliable and sustainable energy, clean mobility, digital technologies, and more.
💪 All talents are needed, and we look forward to seeing even more women bring their expertise, commitment, and energy to drive this transition forward.
🚀 To all middle school girls, high school students and young women: trust yourself and challenge the stereotypes that stand in your way. You are talented, curious, hardworking, organized, courageous and you will thrive in STEM while having so much fun!
💡 What has always motivated me in STEM: Every project I’ve worked on, every problem I’ve solved, combines real-world impact, teamwork, and innovation. STEM projects are hands-on, you see the immediate results of your ideas. They connect science and engineering to meaningful purposes like energy, climate, water, health. Collaboration and creativity make it not only rewarding but truly empowering.
📣 Friends, colleagues, partners: share your stories to inspire and encourage future innovators!
🔗 Join My Job Glasses, Femmes Ingénieurs, or any initiative and network that mentors and connects with the next generation of STEM leaders.
🙌 A special heads‑off to all women with whom I’ve had the chance to advocate for greater women representation and impact in STEM throughout my journey.
